History

In 1996 Ulrich M. Kipper, Peter Egli and Harald Echtle founded the Internet Service Provider IQ GbR.  Out of this company emerged it-werke in Feb 2000. U. Kipper was taking the lead and the company's HQ was shifted to Lahr / Germany.

Due to further extension two subsidiary companies were created in 2006. it-werke Technology GmbH and it-werke Service GmbH. it-werke Technology is focusing on biometric payment systems and developing convenience applications. it-werke solutions enhance marketing, loyalty and customer relationship management. Virtual cards, made by it-werke give new, cost efficient tools to the retail sector.

The companys second focus lies on security systems for  the industrial environment. Physical and logical access control, time and attendance systems, multifactor surveillance, digiMEGRA provides security and seemless integration into existing it-landscape.

it-werke Service GmbH is operating the payment systems VINGADO and diigPROOF. In addition, the company provides IT consulting and service. From day to day maintenance tasks to country wide it-projects like exchange or up-grade  of hard- and software. The company built a pool of qualified staff, available even on short notice. it-werke intervention can be a one time event, temporary or permanent.
