History

In 1996 Ulrich M. Kipper, Peter Egli and Harald Echtle founded the Internet Service Provider IQ GbR.  Out of this company emerged it-werke in Feb 2000. U. Kipper was taking the lead and the company's HQ was shifted to Lahr / Germany.

Due to further extension two subsidiary companies were created in 2006. it-werke Technology GmbH and it-werke Service GmbH. it-werke Technology is focusing on biometric identification systems and applications in the field of payment, marketing, loyalty and customer relation management. Biometric technology is of course also used for physical and logical access control.

it-werke Service GmbH is providing IT services. Those range from day to day maintenance tasks, to company or country wide exchange or up-grade  of hard- and software.  it-werke intervention can be an unique, temporary or permanent, if outsourcing is the name of the game.
